This Monday is the Fourth of July, celebrating the 246th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence from Great Britain. The “American Experiment” continues and has never nor been perfect. But, this document, the signing of which we celebrate, is a promise of what we CAN be in the United States, both for ourselves and for others. As we celebrate – and do so safely – let us continue to pray for the millions around the world who long to enjoy the freedoms and the promise of freedom that we enjoy. We will be celebrating the Parish Mass for this holiday at 9 a.m. in the church. All are welcome! The parish office will be closed this Monday; it is a federal holiday. / Este lunes, que es el 4 de julio, es el 246º aniversario de la Declaración de independencia de los Estados Unidos de la gran Bretaña. Sigue el “experimento americano”, gracias a Dios, que es y ha sido siempre imperfecto. No obstante, esta se celebra la promesa para todos que viven en este país de lo que PUEDE ser – a respetar a los derechos de todos y a dar a todos la oportunidad de vivir en libertad conjuntos. Vamos a celebrar la misa parroquial, en inglés, el lunes a las 9 a.m. y ¡todos están invitados a asistir! Se cierra la oficina parroquial el lunes porque es feria federal
