Christmas preparations – Salvation Army donations – an important faith activity in Advent is to help those in need. Our local Salvation Army is promoting the annual red kettles at stores, the Angel Trees and the hundreds of names found in “The Greenwood Commonwealth.” This is a wonderful way for us to help our brothers and sisters in need here in the Greenwood area during Advent as we prepare to celebrate the greatest gift of all, Jesus our Savior! / Preparaciones para la Navidad – Donativos a las obras caritativas del Ejército de Salvación – el Ejército de Salvación de Greenwood tiene su campaña navideña anual de promover donaciones a los más necesitados de Greenwood y de sus aldeas. Usan las “ollas rojas” en varias partes de Greenwood con una persona tocando una campanita afuera de la tienda, el “Angel Tree” (“árbol de los ángeles”) para ayudar a familias necesitadas y la lista en el periódico “The Greenwood Commonwealth” de muchos nombres de personas y familias que las pueden “adoptar” como auxilio para otros. Durante este período de tiempo preparatorio de la Navidad, estamos invitados a tomar tiempo a reflexionar, a rezar y a actuar en el nombre del Salvador Jesucristo, ¡el Gran Regalo de Dios! Special Collection this Weekend for Tornado Victims – remembering the many whose lives have been devastated, especially in Kentucky, by the recent tornados. / Colaboración especial este fin de semana para las victimas de los tornados – al recordar en especial aquellos de Kentucky que han sufrido tanto por causa de los tornados.
