Down to the wire!!!! Draw Down Raffle and Annual St. Francis School Fall Festival. This is the largest fundraiser for St. Francis of Assisi Elementary School. The Draw Down Raffle will take place in the school cafeteria on Friday, October 1st, at 6 p.m. The grand prize is $7,000.00 with intermittent prizes. Tickets are now available and the donation for each is $50.00. You may “buy” insurance for your ticket for $15.00, which will last for the first 100 tickets drawn. The Fall Festival will take place on Saturday, October 2nd. Thank you for your help! / ¡¡El último momento!! La Rifa “Draw Down” y el Festival de Otoño de la primaria san Francisco. Es el evento más grande de recaudar fondos para la Primaria san Francisco de Asís. La rifa Draw Down se llevará a cabo el viernes, 1 de octubre, a las 6 p.m. en la cafetería de la escuela. El gran premio es $7,000.00 con otros premios intermitentes. Están disponibles ahora los boletos y el donativo de cada uno es $50.00. Más, puede donar $15.00 más para “seguranza” y ésta vale hasta que se saque el 100o boleto. El Festival de Otoño se llevará a cabo el día siguiente, el sábado, 2 de octubre. ¡Muchas gracias por su aportación!
The annual celebration of the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi is October 4th. We will have the blessing of animals on Saturday, October 2nd, a noon in front of the church during the Fall Festival. Bring your pet to receive this traditional blessing in honor St. Francis! / Also, on Sunday, October 3rd, plan to join the Franciscan friars and lay (Secular) Franciscans as we commemorate the gentle passing (Transitus) of St. Francis of Assisi the evening of October 3, 1226. Our celebration will take place at 6 p.m. in the church. You are most welcome to come! / La celebración anual de la fiesta de san Francisco de Asís, 4 de octubre. Se celebrará la Bendición tradicional de animales el sábado, 2 de octubre a las 12 p.m. de frente de la iglesia durante el Festival de Otoño. Lleven sus mascotas u otros animales para recibir esta bendición al honor de nuestro patrono san Francisco. También, el domingo, 3 de octubre, se conmemorará el Transito del santo a las 6 p.m. en la iglesia. Falleció san Francisco muy tranquilamente al anochecer el 3 de octubre 1226. Están invitados a acompañar a los frailes y laicos (seculares) franciscanos en aquella tarde.
