Reminder about ads for the Souvenir Book for the 70th Anniversary of the founding of St. Francis of Assisi Parish and School – Sunday, October 10, 2021. We are inviting and encouraging members and friends of our parish and school to place advertisements in the Souvenir Book for the 70th anniversary celebration. These can be of a business or individual, such as “in honor of” or “in memory of” or if you or the friend of St. Francis wants to say “Congratulations to St. Francis of Assisi Church and School.” The amounts are $100.00 for a full page; $75.00 for one-half page and $50.00 for a quarter page or a $10.00 donation for a line (name or family only) on the Patrons’ page. An important detail regarding the ads or announcements: Only those who have donated $50.00 or more will be eligible to receive a Souvenir Book. Faith Formation begins this Wednesday, 8 September: This year’s Faith Formation program will be held at St. Francis School beginning this Wednesday at 6 p.m. Parents – we will be having an introductory meeting in the cafeteria. Also, $15.00 donation is requested for one child or $30 per family with three or more children. This is to help defray expenses. Thank you. / La Formación de Fe (la doctrina) comienza este miércoles, el 8 de septiembre: Padres de familia, favor de estacionarse en el estacionamiento de la iglesia y no de frente de la escuela. Nos reuniremos en la cafetería a las 6 p.m. para iniciar este nuevo año de catecismo. Se le pide una contribución de $15 por alumno o $30 por cada familia con tres y más alumnos. Reminder – Draw Down Raffle and Annual St. Francis School Fall Festival. This is the largest fundraiser for St. Francis of Assisi Elementary School. The Draw Down Raffle will take place in the school cafeteria on Friday, October 1st, at 6 p.m. The grand prize is $7,000.00 with intermittent prizes. Tickets are now available and the donation for each is $50.00. You may “buy” insurance for your ticket for $15.00, which will last for the first 100 tickets drawn. The Fall Festival will take place on Saturday, October 2nd. Thank you for your help!. / Recordatorio – la Rifa “Draw Down” y el Festival de Otoño de la primaria san Francisco. Es el evento más grande de recaudar fondos para la Primaria san Francisco de Asís. La rifa Draw Down se llevará a cabo el viernes, 1 de octubre, a las 6 p.m. en la cafetería de la escuela. Thank you, Fr. Clement Oyafemi! We were richly blessed by Fr. Clement’s presence, his message and joyful celebration of the Holy Eucharist. We look forward to having him and Daisey Martinez of the Diocesan Office of Intercultural Ministry provide a workshop on the 2019 US Bishops’ document on racism, “Open Wide Our Hearts.” / ¡Gracias, Padre Clemente Oyafemi! Fuimos muy bendecidos el fin de semana pasado cuando nos visitó el Padre Clemente, por su presencia, su mensaje y su manera alegre de celebrar la santa misa. Anticipamos participar en su taller en un futuro del tema de la carta pastoral de los obispos de los EE UU sobre el tema de racismo, “¡Ábrannos los corazones!”
