We continue this Sunday with the easing of the pandemic restrictions – social distancing is reduced to three feet, no checking the temperature at the entrance to the church and those who are fully vaccinated are not required to wear facemasks. Those who are not fully vaccinated or who are not vaccinated at all, including children and youth, are recommended to wear facemasks for your protection and the protection of your family. The dispensation from the obligation to attend Sunday Mass and Mass on Holy Days of Obligation ends this weekend, the Solemnity of the Body and Blood of Christ.  Those who are unable to join us for Sunday worship due to infirmity or for compelling reasons are excused. / Este domingo continuamos con el relajamiento de unas restricciones de la pandemia – se ha disminuido el distancimiento hasta tres pies (un metro) entre personas o familias; no chequear la temperatura a la entrada dela igleisa; si usted se ha vacunado completamente, no se requiere llevar cubrebocas. Para aquellos que no se han vacunado completamente, incluso los niños y jóvenes, se les recomienda que siguen llevando cubrebocas para su propia protección y la de su familia. Este fin de semana se acaba la dispensación diocesana de la obligación de asistir a las misas dominicales y de preceptos. Como antes, aquellas personas están excusadas que están enfermas y las que no pueden asistir por otros motivos de salud o circunstancias que se les impiden asistir.

Next Sunday, June 13th, members of the Latino community are holding a fundraiser at Julia Cortes’ home (2307 Grenada Blvd.) – a tamale sale! – to help defray hospital expenses for our brother parishioner, Ernesto Zúñiga, who recently underwent surgery. Tamales will be $12.00 per dozen and consist of three choices – pork, chicken or cheese with peppers. It will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, June 13th.  Thank you for your support! / El próximo domingo, el 13 de junio, unos miembros de nuestra comunidad parroquial conducirán a un evento de recaudar fondos a beneficio de nuestro hermano, Ernesto Zúñiga, quien recientemente tuvo cirugía. Este evento es para ayudarlo con sus varios gastos.  Se venden los tamales por $12.00 por cada docena y hay tres opciones – puerco, pollo o queso con rajas. Se llevará a cabo a la casa de Julia Cortes (2307 Grenada Blvd.) a partir de las 10:30 a.m. el domingo, el 13 de junio. ¡Gracias por su apoyo!

Last weekend you were sent by email the flyer and registration form for this year’s Vacation Bible School (VBS), June 21-24, 2021, sponsored by St. Francis of Assisi Church in Manitowoc, WI.  It is a free program – including a light breakfast and a lunch each day – for pre-school children (4-5 years old) and grade school children, ages 6 – 11 years.  If you are interested in your children participating, please bring the filled registration form to the parish office ASAP.  Due to the pandemic, registration is limited – 50 children total! Thank you! / El ultimo fin de semana se les enviamos el volante y el formulario de inscripción para la Escuela bíblica de vacaciones (EBV) que es patrocinada por la parroquia de san Francisco de Asís de Mantiowoc, Wisconsin. Se llevará a cabo el lunes hasta el jueves, el 21 hasta el 24 de junio 2021 a la escuela nuestra de san Francisco. Los niños de kinder, que tienen 4 y 5 años pueden asistir y los muchachos de los 6 hasta 11 años. Se incluirá un desayuno ligero y un almuerzo – ¡todo gratuito! Por causa de la pandemia se limita el número de los participantes a los 50 muchachos en total.
